I was born in Southern California
and spent most of my life growing up in the mountains just north of Los
Angeles. Living only 20 miles from the San Andreas Fault, I
became accustomed to the geology all around me. In school, science quickly became my
favorite subject and I found that my greatest interests were in
chemistry and geology. After serving a 2 year mission in
Argentina, I returned home and went off to Brigham Young University to
study chemical engineering. This was not to last, as I soon realized
that geology was what I really wanted to study. I have been in the
program for over a year now and currently have the plans of graduating
in April of 2007.
My hobbies include reading, studying
geology (lots!), and playing volleyball when ever I get the chance.
I also like to watch movies, when ever I can afford to, and go to plays
and symphonies, when I need some culture.
Currently I am studying mineralogy, structure,
and computer applications in geology.
