Go to a local rodeo. (Lehi, June 24). Hike Mt. Nebo: Take I-15 to Nephi, turn east on UT 132 (light at 100 North). Stay on this road for 6 miles and turn left on Nebo Loop Road. Foll until you reach the Monument trailhead on the left side of the road (about 12 miles). The trail is a 5.6 mile roundtrip. Participate in a 5K run/walk.
Visit Cascade Springs. Go out for an ice cream cone. Go to an Orem Owlz game.
Go to BYU Museum of Art. Attend a Hale Center Theater performance. Do the CLAS Ropes Course, at 3606 W. Center in Provo.
Visit Hogle Zoo. Attend the freedom festival fireworks event. Watch the Freedom Festival parade.
Ride the ski lift at Sundance. Attend the 22nd Scottish Festival in Payson (July 9). Visit a senior care center and sing to the patrons.
Go on a family picnic at the Rock Canyon Park by Provo Temple. Go bowling at Fat Cats and have lunch at Costa Azul. Visit the Crandall Historic Printing Museum (275 E Center in Provo).
Attend Springville's folk dance festival, July 15. Attend the Spanish Fork Llama Fest on Saturday, July 16. Take a drive in your car. At every intersection, take turns deciding which direction to go. Or shake a die: 1 or 2, turn left; 3 or 4, turn right; 5 or 6, go straight...
Go the the Nickelcade in Orem (1700 S. State in Orem). Hike to Stewart Falls from BYU's Aspen Grove in Provo Canyon. Visit This is The Place Heritage Park in Salt Lake.
Have a Family History night and trace your roots. Update your PAF files. Go miniature golfing and hold your own golf tournament. Visit the Young Living Family Farm in Mona. Float down the Provo River in an inner tube. Tour your local fire station. Ride the Alpine Slide, etc. at Park City.
Visit the Peppermint Place candy factory in Alpine and see how Santa's candy is made from start to finish. Open M-F form 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.. 200 North in Alpine. Tours are free. (801) 756-6916. Build a bonfire and roast hotdogs after dark. Make a treat and take it to someone who needs to know they have a friend.
Visit Discovery Park in Pleasant Grove, just a few blocks north of the Purple Turtle. Follow the original Pony Express Route, Camp Floyd, etc. Camp out in your backyard for a night.
