My Life Thus Far

       I was born on October 23, 1982 at the incredibly reasonable hour of 9:11 a.m., in Whittier, California.  My mother claims that I would sleep all the way through the night a mere two weeks after birth (a telltale sign, no doubt, of my current requisite 13 hours of sleep/night).  Two kiddie pics:

   At 18 months, my family uprooted and we found ourselves in Bedford, Texas.         

Bedford is an amazing place to grow up in.  I went to Meadow Creek Elementary School from 1989-1995.  Highlight:  Winning the Battle of the Books Championships. yeeeeeeeeeeah      

     After graduating from the sixth grade it was a simple hop over the road to Harwood Junior High School (a complete hole) for the next three years.  Also, started violin.  

High school was when I finally had the resources (i.e. got a job) to try to discover who I was and what I was interested in.  Mr. Grimm's photography class was the best part of all three years.  I joined the advanced photography group for both my junior and senior years.  I also began fencing sophomore year at the Fencing Institute of Texas with Irina Dolgikv and Hossam Mahmoud in epée.
