The Gunnell Gab (First Edition)
Family video clips (Coming soon!)
First Edition – 11/5/04
In an effort to do better keeping up with everyone we are starting an at least bi-annual edition of the Gunnell Gab, which will contain the latest and the greatest on the goings on of our family.
The Gunnell family has been so busy lately that things were SCARY around our house this Halloween! This past summer we managed to sell our four-plex and our home in Las Vegas. We squeezed in a trip to Lake Powell too, which was lots of fun! Danny is now swamped with all sorts of deals, Elder's Quorum, working full-time at his own oil business, Liberty Pioneer, and returning to BYU part-time to get his master's degree in geology. Macie has been busy learning new words each day, running as fast as her tiny feet will take her, and visiting the "choo-choo" train and "doggies" near our house. Mary is always on the run, she was in charge of our ward’s Primary Program – and it was awesome. She works occasional night shifts at Shriners Hospital, takes a BYU class, and best of all loves being a mommy! We recently put our house up for sale (we hope to move into a bigger one before our next baby comes in March!), so we've had our hands full! Yep, that is right, another baby and the ultrasound indicates that it’s a boy! Dad is so excited to have a little future missionary and another football buddy in the home (Macie actually really enjoys watching “Ba-ball” with dad). At a recent BYU basketball game we had a really neat experience sitting with President and Sister Samuelson -- it was fun to spend time close to a general authority.
We have to be proud parents for a minute and brag about Macie Ann. We took her to the BYU Baby Pageant (during Homecoming week), and you'll never believe it, but she won the grand prize (Called the "Future MVP" Award!!). There were around 350 babies there, and it took 2 whole hours of babies parading on the stage! And, yes, these were unbiased judges. Macie was so smiley and was dancing on the stage and did stunts with Daddy. It was adorable!! So...now we have official confirmation that she really is the cutest little girl in town! Whoo-hoo!
We've had lots of fun with the family here in Utah. Macie especially appreciates the fun times she has with her aunts when they come over to baby-sit! We also enjoy frequent family dinners at our little house, and barbeques for every BYU home game are a tradition -- even when our season isn't looking so hot (let's just hope we can have some more wins like our victories over Air Force and San Diego!). Danny lives for BYU Football.
Well, we hope and pray that all is well for the rest of you. If you are ever in Provo, give us a call! We love you!
