Name: Michael Scott Pennock

Height: 5'7"

Date of birth: Dec. 8, 1982

    I shall here attempt a simple overview of my life to this point.

Places lived:

   I was born in Provo, UT while my dad was attending law school at Brigham Young University.  After graduating, he got a job with the Dow Chemical Co., and so I spent my early childhood years in Midland, MI before moving to Miami, FL and staying there throughout elementary school.  When the Dow office there closed down, he was transferred back to Midland, and that's where I went to junior high and high school.  I then decided to likewise attend BYU, so I moved back to Provo for half a year until embarking on a two-year mission in Ukraine.  For the year and a half since that time, I have been back in Provo, and will be at least until I graduate in May 2007.

Interests:

    My life can be divided up neatly into the predominant interest I had at the time.  Early Childhood-6th Grade: Grades 1-3: Disney movies and Nintendo; Grade 4: Star Wars; Grades 5-6: X-Men Comic books; Grades 7-9: Basketball and the NBA; Grades 10-12: Music/songwriting and running; 1st Yr. College: Microbiology; Two yr. Mission: teaching the Gospel; 2nd and 3rd Year of College: Geology and Rock Collecting.  For more information on the interests that have continued with me, see the Interests section of this webpage.

Family:

    My family has been a powerful source of joy in my life, and I must highlight them on a page about me.  Be aware that this picture was taken some 6 yrs. ago, and so their appearances will not necessarily correspond with the ages listed.

    Clockwise, starting with my father:

Scott, age 47: corporate attorney, marathon runner, all-around wise man;

Lesli, age 46: devoted, loving mother, incredible pianist, beautiful lady;

Kristin, age 17: loyal sister, fascinated by life, has a singing voice so sweet it brings tears to your eyes;

Lindsay, age 19: fun, smart, courageous girl that loves people like no one else I've known;

Me, 22: you already know plenty about me;

Kelsey, 9: avid reader, outgoing, joyful but level-headed 4th grader;

Jesica Gilbert, 24: warm and personable, exemplary sister, has a wonderful family of her own;
