Hello!  My name is Jamie Sharon Robinson.  I was born in Heber City, Ut, July 30th, 1985 and I am  the oldest of 4 children. I was only about 6 months old when my family moved to the small town of Craig, Colorado, and that's where I grew up.  As a little girl, I was fascinated with the earth, and anything to do with the weather, earthquakes or volcanoes captivated me.  I had my own weather station in my backyard, trusty Doppler 9, and I dreamed of becoming a tornado chaser. Living in a small town in Colorado helped add to my love of the outdoors, and after taking a geology class in high school, I knew that geology would be much more practical career than a tornado chaser. After graduating high school, I came to BYU, where I began my undergraduate education as a Geology major. Geology...wow, I can't say enough about it,  and there isn't anything else I'd rather be doing! This is my senior year at BYU, and I plan on graduating in December of 2007, and then will hopefully go onto graduate school, and I'd love to do something with earthquakes.  I think it's fascinating the advances that are being made in understanding earthquakes, and hopefully someday we'll know enough that we can predict them.  I want to be part of that, and then do something with my education that will be useful to society, and maybe someday save lives.

In my spare time when I'm not outdoors with the rocks, I enjoy painting, drawing and photography.  I've played the piano for about 14 years and love music...I have my ipod on constantly.  I love finding obscure bands that no one has heard of.  I love singing in the car.  I love cookie dough ice cream. I love playing ultimate Frisbee.  I love reading, but currently have only been reading text books, and scholarly articles...I really need a good book to read! I love laughing. I love being with good friends and my family...and these are a few of my favorite things.
