My Education

I am a student at Brigham Young University where I am currently working to obtain my Bachelors degree in Environmental Geology.   I attended the University of California at Santa Cruz (UCSC) before serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Massachusetts Boston Mission. I hope to continue my education by obtaining a Masters Degree in Environmental Studies.  I believe that education is the doorway to our dreams and the sky is the limit.

Why Geology?

While in Santa Cruz I realized my love for the Earth Sciences and Environmental Issues that surround our busy world.  I have a deep belief that we must be wise stewards of the world in which we live, using all things in moderation, always seeking to find new, more efficient ways to do that which we do.  My hopes are to continue development of products and processes that are both, economically and environmentally efficient.  Basically, I want to make environmentalism economical, and thus more widespread.

My Family

That beautiful woman to my left in the picture is my wonderful wife JoLynn.  In May she will be graduating from the University of Utah with her Bachelors degree in Family and Consumer Studies, and hopes to become a social worker for the state of Utah in the near future.   We both grew up in Hayward, California about 45 minutes from San Francisco.  It was here that we fell in love, visiting many of the natural wonders to be found in the Bay Area.
