Perspective: The earth I stand on is 4.9 billion years old. The boulder beside me is 10 to 100 million years old. The artwork sketched on the boulder is thousands of years old. And I am a mere 20 years old.

My native home resides in Tullahoma, Tennessee.  Youngest of five children, I enjoyed a childhood that consisted of church, school, and a rather large amount of time in the great outdoors.  My fondest memories are of backpacking amongst the green hills and ridges of Tennessee.

Upon graduation form high school, I enrolled into Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I began as a chemistry major, but upon taking a Geology 101 class I discovered my love for the earth sciences. Hence, I am doubling majors in Chemistry and Geology.

Two years remain until I am finish with my undergraduate classes. From there I plan on continuing into a graduates program specializing in geochemistry.
