Hi, I'm Ashley

My names is Ashley Peterson, I am 19 years old, and I am a freshman at Brigham Young University. I grew up in California, born in the north then moved to the south when I was 6. In southern California I lived in the city of Anaheim, just 15 minutes from Disneyland! It goes without saying I had a pretty magical childhood living there. Then, at 11, I moved to St. Louis Missouri, half way across the United States. Even though it had no Disney park and WAY to much humidity, it did have the Cardinals and Ted Drew's frozen custard. After 8 and a half years, it was time to move again, but not my family just me, to Provo UT. At BYU I have been studying Geography with an emphasis in Teaching in the Secondary level with a Physical Education and Coaching minor. I hope to teach middle school geography and coach one of the sports teams.

This article is about the North African Muslim's presence in Paris. It is obvious that it is not a welcome presence. These Muslims are posing a treat to Parisians and even live in neighborhoods that "even police dare not enter" (Dutta, 2005, para. 2). The recent riots in Paris including "torching nearly thirteen hundred automobiles," (para. 1) fired on police, and operated a Molotov Cocktail factory. This article also gives a brief history of France's rule of Algeria in North Africa. It explains when France pulled out of Algeria, so did all native French citizens. But with the French citizens came many African Muslims also.
